For the sanity sake I mapped out our channels to streamline communication.
Rules for family invitations were fairly complicated. Mapping out the different states helped us design a simplified UX.
I take notes to get an idea out of my head as fast as possible, so I can revisit it later. I've been using the app [Paper](https://www.fiftythree.com/paper) to do this.
We re-worked our hierarchy to bring more emphasis to the family. This makes invitations much easier to understand.
There are a lot of tools for mapping out data structures. I like to draw them out first when the project is still a bit fluid and we're figuring things out.
